Holly

Bio

Holly is an adoptive mom of children from around the world. She and her husband of 21 years were originally spurred on by news reports coming out of Romania in 1991. They adopted 2 children from Romanian orphanages. Seeing “Ceaucescu’s legacy” changed their lives forever.

They have adopted from Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Guatemala and the US. They have done infant adoptions, toddler adoptions, preschooler adoptions, school-age adoptions and a 12 yo "pre-teen". They have done special needs adoptions and healthy child adoptions - and what they thought were special needs adoption where there WAS no special need and supposed healthy child adoptions where in fact there were special needs, sometimes significant ones. They have used agencies and I have adopted independently, both domestically and internationally.

Holly enjoys working with humanitarian organizations that help orphaned and vulnerable children and childbearing women from all over the world, but especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Holly has traveled to Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia. She expects to be returning at least a couple of times a year for humanitarian work.

Adoption is a passion of hers and now Africa is as well!
