Marie Stroughter wears many hats: Christian, wife, homeschooling mother, fiberartist and freelance writer.
Marie has been writing for online communities since 1998; most notably as Editor of the Son's Site at BellaOnline.com, and Managing Editor of Black Purl Magazine.
Marie lives in Northern California with her husband of almost two decades, and three children, two of whom were adopted via a private Christian adoption agency.
When not writing, you can find Marie knitting or teaching it! She is currently enrolled in the Master Hand Knitting Program through The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA), and President of her local Knitting Guild. She teaches a weekly Teen and "Tween class, and monthly charity crafting group.
Marie's background is in Early Childhood Education, and this led her to the decision to homeschool her son. She looks forward to the day when she will have two more students in the "classroom" (their dining room!).
Marie became a Christian in 1983. Since then, she has been an active volunteer and Bible class teacher. Her faith is in integral part of her life and she is thrilled to be able to share it here with you as it relates to the adoption journey!
She welcomes your comments, questions and feedback!
